Arena shows used to be all about lights, lasers, and volume. Now it’s all about props and dancers. It’s like Broadway on the road. They’re trying to give people enough entertainment value to slightly rationalize the obscene cost of concert tickets these days.
Of course, lights and lasers used to work better when the atmosphere was filled with weed smoke. Now everybody does gummies before the show.
