Melbcat cried at the door for ages and I thought it was for her lost freedom. Then she moved away from the door and continued to sing. Cuddles helped but what finally soothed her was being lifted up on the chair.
I considered a cheap recliner because the leg part might allow her to get up and down by herself. But from this picture I’m not sure. If I could angle it forward to reduce that gap/make the ramp lower maybe… but a cheap one probably wouldn’t have that function. She wouldn’t use a ramp or a box to step up from.
Thoughts on if you think she could get up?

Does she want to be up high with you?

seems to me she needs some meds for her arthritis , I used to get Allie one a month cortisone type injections that really helped her a lot

She gets meds daily and the Solensia each month, she’s just recently stopped being able to jump up by herself.
Maybe I’ll get a proper high ramp if I can find an affordable price, and a shelter could take it if she really won’t use it. Rather than commit to a whole recliner
