After years of teaching I’ve found it’s easier for people to believe in survivorship bias and assume everyone could do more than wonder why people don’t do more.
I agree through, immature and irresponsible how?

By not contributing? There’s no reason not to be helping out at 32.
I’m 32 and I can’t help out much because of disability
The fact that you think there’s no reason that a person at 32 might be struggling and need assistance, says more about your creativity and nothing about their ability.
Try harder to be creative.
That’s clearly not the joke being presented but ok. Glad you’re so creative as to miss the point
What’s the joke then? I clearly missed it.
So yeah like I wrote above, I’m disabled, and people have been telling me my whole life that I’m lazy, not contributing to society, a drain on resources, immature, irresponsible, and things like that. I’m 32. So this kind of joke brings back memories of all of those moments of cruelty people have inflicted on me, and those memories bring back other painful memories.
And yeah, that is my problem, I’m not trying to take the joke/meme away from you, I’m just trying to explain how jokes like this can hurt some of the most marginalized people in society, and why you might get people deliberately missing the point to try and explain this to you.
