no offense but you’re running cover for some vile transphobes
Comment on Im curious what they will come up with
hector@lemmy.today 4 days agoIgnoring the ridiculousness of the politically correct wouldn’t have kept the republicans from winning.
You thinking it does really gives you away, as someone so delusional, so misled by monied interests playing you, that speaking to you bears as much fruit as speaking with a maga diehard.
No offense.

There is no context for this, how so? I’m not running cover for anyone, are you saying by talking about southpark? Whom decided that watching/talking about/discussing south park was “running cover for vile transphobes?”
Sounds like obscuring the issue with emotional arguments and slander to cancel the argument without addressing the point. It works with bigotry because everyone feels like they have to go on the defensive even without merit, or context. So what evidence backs up your bigotry accusation, and if without merit would it not be you running cover/helping transphobes by making bad faith accusations for other reasons and therefore discrediting the movement that makes real and credible accusations?

The dolphinoplasty episode is extremely vile transphobia. These are the kind of jokes you’re talking about when you say they make fun of political correctness

So everyone commenting on southpark is “running cover for transphobes,” because you condemned that episode, got it.
Or just the ones that disagree with you in effect I presume.

Yes, they did fire in all directions and some of there jokes did not age well. What is your point? Are you suggesting that they are evil because they were not 100% correct all the time?
(also iirc for that specific episode they did a correction 10 years later. )
