Comment on If the United States of America was renamed, what should it be?
atro_city@fedia.io 21 hours agoIf they stopped calling themselves "Americans", it'd be fine, but they call themselves as if they owned 2 continents (and they behave that way too). A renaming would be very much in order. Liberteria, The States, Trumpia, Costa to Costa, Burgerland, whatever.

What’s funny is the old usage of American was a slur to denote people who came from the New World from old money and “classical” tradition. Now people like you are mad that it’s now being embraced as an identity. Some folks can never be happy and want to share.
