Fuck me that’s a relief.

Ol’ girl and boy left some snail poison (metaldehyde) out, blew over shit fell out and the resident magpie had a go at it apparently. I was livid.

Hadn’t seen it for 2 days, but it just rocked up looking pretty worse for wear still kicking though and eating. Poor thing took a hit but seems okay.

Been feeding this thing for 20+ years and would be devastated if that’s how it went out.

Phew (for now I hope).

what do you feed it? wife and I have a maggie who has taken to chilling in one of our trees. We want to encourage her without making her at all dependent, and certainly dont want to give her anything she shouldn’t have.

  Feed this one mealworms and cheese w/ some calcium carbonate mixed in. Doesn’t seem to be dependent even though it’s fed small bits pretty often. When you don’t feed it, it just jumps back on the lawn and does its thing w/ no hard feelings lol.
