Your suppose to create a monopoly THEN shittify your product with ads. OpenAI is like speedrunning being a big tech company before our own eyes, it lines up from what I hear from people working there.

Is Sora even that popular versus other AI image generators? They had first mover advantage but its largely consumed off site so they still don’t have control of distribution.

The disconcerting thing is that in LLMs, the ads don’t need to be signposted, advertisers can just pay to bias the LLM. You’ll have Big Pharma paying to bias the LLM into telling people they need meds.
