I can imagine directional active cables, but not passive ones.

MutilationWave@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 week agoUnidirectional cables are very silly. I fixed a 300 foot unidirectional HDMI installed backwards during construction. I had to army crawl over ductwork.

For HDMI this is common with active optical cables.
