the_q@lemmy.zip 1 day agoIt’s not an insult. Continuing to pay for increasingly shitty behavior leads to even shittier behavior. We’re talking about streaming, but this extends out to the capitalist built economy. We’re funding our misery. Every person that continues to participate just reinforces that misery.

Telling someone that they are the problem is insulting, whether you like it or not.
I agree, continuing to feed the machine is not helping; but there are more constructive ways to express the same point. Help people learn and get comfortable with better solutions, don’t scold them for following what they’ve grown up to know as ‘right’.
