NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 1 month agoWhen they say how much a heart weighs, does that include the weight of all the blood inside it? That doesn’t seem appropriate because the blood isn’t part of the heart, it’s actively being pumped through it.
If the blood is not included, then holy crap how is it 5 kg?

I think the blood in the muscle itself is probably included but likely not the blood in the chambers.
