PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 week agoSame here re Myer. Last time I went I stood in the store for a good 10 minutes and was not approached once by a staff member. This would’ve been unheard of with the Myer of my youth.
Also let me know how you go with the breadmaker. I’ve been a little tempted but I’m sticking with my stretching-and-folding sourdough thing for now.

I have had a few breadmakers before. They are really good at kneading dough (and providing a warm place for it to rise) but are not as good at the actual baking. I intend to just use it for the kneading and then bake the loaf in the oven. Which is how my mother has been using hers for years too, with very good results.

Ah thankyou, that’s actually really clever of your mum. Kneading can be heavy going sometimes!
