If they're blocking port 25, they are not an Internet Service Provider.
Since my ISP is blocking port 25, I had to set up an email relay in Yunohost. Maybe Mailbox.org does not allow this.

@zeitverschreib@social.zwoelfdreifuenfundvierzig.net @johntimaeus@sysad.ninja @choyer@mastodon.social @simon_greenwood@offworld.fedisonic.cloud @fediversenews@venera.social I have seen this as well in Greece. Pretty standard procedure. Instead of port 25 usually you can use 587 the mail submission agent port.
@nickapos@nickapos.social.oncrete.gr γειά σου Νικόλα. Δε το ήξερα ότι Έλληνες ασχολούνται με το calckey. Σινιάλα ότι καλύτερο έχω δει στο φεντιβερς. Χάρηκα που σε βρήκα. Είναι τρομερό

Really? Just to keep you from running a mail server?
@johntimaeus @zeitverschreib @choyer @simon_greenwood @fediversenews I'm sure he means outgoing. At least where I am, incoming works fine. I'm using my ISP as smarthost for outgoing. works ok.
@johntimaeus
That's to cut down on the number of spam bots on the ISPs network. If they didn't do that then every malware infected computer on their network would be spewing out spam at a high rate. For their business customers of course they're not going to block it. This is for their residential customers.

@zeitverschreib @simon_greenwood @fediversenews I didn’t actually do a relay in YunoHost (although I believe Mailbox would allow it, I just put my mailbox Smtp server and mailbox address and login directly in the env.production file.

@zeitverschreib @choyer @simon_greenwood @fediversenews This is common practice here for consumer circuits, block 25 and 80. In the past it was possible to re-enable this in router settings or at worst getting a Tier 2 support person to allow it. Now? No idea. I pony up for the symmetrical at home these days, and no longer have to think about it. Yes, my use case is MY use case, and it’s worth it to me. Ymmv. I hope you find a solution.
