Yesterday I had a talk with my current higher-ups about terminating my contract, or rather letting it run out at the end of the year.

You see, I have a fixed-term/temporary contract that ends on the 31. December 2025. They wanted to extend it, but I declined. Gave my own personal health matters and those of my parents as a reason; I simply want to be near if something happens and there’s already a lot going on besides my issues with the current job. They were disappointed, but overall rather understanding.

That means I now need to search for a job fast during December; thankfully nursing is a career field with a high fluctuation and a massive staff shortage; I’m quite confident that I’ll have a new workplace ready by January 1st. Already sat down to bring my CV up to date, but now the late shift awaits…
