I really don’t get it, even the shittiest $2 lights make a huge difference. I’ve seriously considered buying a bunch to keep in my bag and just hand them out.
And the worst are electric scooters that have nice, built-in lights and people still don’t turn them on.

There was a year or so where the lights of electric bikes was both very, very bright and pointed at people’s faces. That was not helpful, safety-wise.

I still see (and am blinded by) bikes, electric or not. Some people just don’t realize that the road in front of them should be illuminated, not the apartments on the third floor.
