Ok, this is where we have a disconnect. Do you know how many translators, pop idols, and artists who sell there work at any kind of price there are? It’s not many. Look up how much the average author gets paid for their first book at a publishing house and you’ll see why pretty much all writers teach. You can be really good at STEM and make more than a teacher in your field, but the same isn’t true at all for arts, foreign languages, writing, phys ed… Even history and social studies.
