smh@slrpnk.net 1 day agoAs soon as my PCOS got treated (metformin) I lost 20 pounds. Looking back, it should have been caught decades ago. It pisses me off how much “you just need diet and exercise!” bullshit I swallowed when all I needed to do to lose weightwas take a stupid pill to treat the underlying condition.
Caveat: I believe treating the underlying condition has had a bigger impact on my health than weight loss.

Generally speaking though, most overweight people are fat because they eat too much. Thats it. And then they look to stupid fads and cheats to lose the weight without actually changing their relationship to food. Its not you, and thats cool. Glad you got your issue sorted out. But I cant help but wonder, how many people are right now reading your experience while eating their 2nd large pizza, and thinking “I must have that!”…
So many people are never will to take responsibility for their life choices. And most of them are on social media hammering downvote buttons telling that they should be looking after themselves better.
