• Ad Hominem is a form of logical fallacy whereby one attacks the person giving the argument rather than the argument itself. You did nothing but attack my character, so it really wasn’t anything more than that.
• A common meme in arguments is when, rather than give any counter point, one just points out the logical fallacies displayed by one’s opponent.

Also they never said it had to be big words, you have just conflated big with interesting.

What you failed to understand was that ‘nice’ is not a precise word, there are usually more contextually relevant ways to describe yourself. E.g. tell them where you volunteer.

I did understand your joke, but I thought the faulty premises deserved mocking. I do now think I should have just deconstructed your entire argument from the start though.
