mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 10 months agomakes me wonder if the acquisitions were just a win/win strategy - acquire all these studios, milk them with unreasonable demands, cut the workforces constantly, then close up the studio but keep all the ip.

It’s also going to result in the destruction of the Xbox brand though. Whatever they release, no one’s going to buy it. Anyone who’s smart already releases on multiple platforms if they release for Xbox, and this will only exacerbate the issue.
