So if you want another years of Windows 10 support you can activate an Extended support option in Settings > Updates and security > Windows Update > Then in the middle of the window thereās the extended support option, choose to backup settings to make it free.

There seems to be all these weird sneaky ways to get extra support for Windows 10. Of course thereās one answer to not have to worry about Windows support at all

Oh for sure, but I canāt be stuffed rolling the OS over to linux yet. Bazzite seems the way to go for my gaming rig. Kushner buying EA killed BF6 for me which was the only reason I had to use windows11 so fuckem. Plus I heard that the TPM settings required in bios make dual boot a drag so double fuck em.

I turned on secureboot to play the BF6 beta and it fucked with my Mint partition, even though itās on a separate SSD. It was great but the anticheat and secureboot are so invasive itās put me off getting it unless my friends do.
And I think Iād recommend Bazzite if youāre going to do any amout of gaming. I went with Mint because I didnāt want a āgamerā distro, but I feel like there have been issues beyond my secureboot driver problems when it comes to games, I should have gone with something with all the prerequisites installed. You can go the normal version of Bazzite, not the one that boots directly into Steam Game Mode, and itās just like any other desktop experience.
