So I wanted to initalise an SSD I got for my Bazzite laptop that itâs not reading. In the process I removed the wrong SSD, the one that has the OS on it. Now itâs not recognising any SSD and isnât booting.
Is it possible to get the SSD back and and keep going as normal or will I need to reinstall? Itâs only a small inconvenience if I have to reinstall the OS, Iâd just like to save the time if I can.

Itâs posting and says itâs not detecting any bootable media. It goes to booting by https which is last in the boot order

Is it not detecting the ssd in bios?

Itâs not picking up anything bootable. I canât find a way to check what storage it can detect, all it says is the two nvme slots are on

Maybe the hdd header is corrupt.

Iâve stuck a drive with Mint on it in the laptop and it can to.d the blank uninitialised SSD but not the original one that has bazzite on it. I was able to buy this laptop off work because the drive was failing. Maybe taking it out finally killed it off.
Iâll tinker around some more and see if I can get back what I have, otherwise I just have to reflash bazzite and download my games again
