Up north some animals have tons of fat (sometimes called ‘blubber’). But if you live up there as a hunter (not much to gather up there), you’ll need those calouries.

Wild game meat has significantly less fat in it than the meat produced at modern factory farms.

Not to mention those guys had to hunt themselves and probably didn’t shove half a pig per week down their fat throats
