They’re clearly not doing their jobs if AI “solutions” go straight to prod without any consideration for the results it’ll yield. One would think that since it’s still code at its heart that it would still follow a well implemented CI/CD pipeline, but I guess because it’s AI that it just can’t wait. Someone else might do it first and all that.

You’re responding to a dumb joke, but anyway: A solution can run perfectly in a test environment and still be shit. It’s not really the development process that failed in this case (or even the somewhat misguided use of “AI”). The failure is fully owned by whoever thought that random strangers would like to be prompted to hook up via unprompted meeting invites.
