mohab@piefed.social 4 days agoI'm not sure what I think about the full cyberpunk aesthetic but who plays these games for the story anyway?
I've read children books with more coherent stories than Ninja Gaiden. I doubt any fan will care as long as the gameplay is good.
Story trailers are to hook new players, I suppose.

It’s more about the aesthetic, I really enjoyed when it was the weird modern/ancient mix they were going with before rather than this actual cyberpunk.

Yeah, it's a jarring shift to this Zone of the Enders/MGR look, NGL. Kinda feels like Batman Beyond or something 😅
