SuperIce@lemmy.world â¨3⊠â¨weeks⊠agoThatâs kinda misleading though. Large molecule PFAS are harmless to us (Teflon for example). Itâs the small molecule PFAS are dangerous and those arenât really used for any kind of non-stick surfaces.

Theyâre part of the waste of producing non-stick coatings. So you arenât exposed to them by the needle or your Teflon frying pan or the Teflon tape in your plumbing, youâre exposed to them by the Teflon plant dumping their waste in the river, legally or otherwise
