Are there biological imperatives for them to protect their calves? Absolutely. That doesn’t mean they’re cognisant of “never being able to see their children again”. They don’t have a concept of “never”.

It’s funny how if you choose to go vegan, you avoid this moral dilemma altogether. But of course you carnists and omnis fantasize realities that shift blame away from you.
