Comment on Luka, Lakers agree to 3-year, $165M extension

Now they need to build a better team around him. I’m not deep into the salaries and stuff, but is keeping Lebron really holding up that money? Or are they just bad at making trades?

Spotrac is a good source for this stuff. and it looks like even if you completely remove LeBron salary they’re still over the cap so free agent wise it’s not a problem.

But not having him would give them more room for trades since they’re currently hard capped at the first apron, I can’t remember the details on why that happens to some teams, think it’s trade related or something. Currently they’re only $1M below the first Apron so effectively can’t take back more salary really.
