does that mean we’ll need to start worrying about viruses on Linux now?

  1. Linux is still a very small marketshare on workstations.
  2. Pretty much every server runs Linux and is probably much more likely to be attacked than a workstation.
  3. Lots of very profitable companies that run these servers need high security, so they will invest as much as is strictly necessary.
  4. Everything is open source and auditable by anyone.
