they probably have a powerful immune system to deal with decaying matter, or carrion. also because they constantly replace thier teeth, caries mightis less of an issue for them.

Doesn’t mean it’s nice to have gum infections though. I can also imagine they are more of a threat to baby crocodiles.

they probably shed it often where it doesnt become a large problem with like mammals. also animals that tend to eat carriorn or dead animals have unique adaptations around bacterial infections.
