i don’t know if their goal was appealing to children or people who are attracted to children but it was incredibly weird, so i got out of there and never looked in there again

To be fair, and not to defend u/spez, but back in the day, if you were top mod of a sub, you could just add anyone else as a mod. So, we’ll never know the full story, but there is that
