Seems like another propietary codec from Frauenhofer that phone and headset producers can pay licencing fees for. From the few tidbits of actual reviews and tech specs, it seems the BT SIG had to use an outdated version of OPUS and misconfigure it to have a fighting chance when it came to audio quality comparisons.

And why a "plus"-version? Seems like it's a native extension to the codec. So people are literally buying a gimped product if they get the standard pack?

I got excited for this until I understood what it was. Thanks for sharing though.
