For me, bloatware and spyware. Linux makes my older pcs function in a usable manner and my current one having only the softwares i want it to have.

I use windows 11, and I can’t think of one annoyance that I wasn’t able to uninstall or turn off through settings or local group policy.
I did this once after installing it a year ago, and it has never bothered me since. Not even windows update gives me problems. I can think of one time in windows 10 that I had problems with an update, but this was years ago.

And that was years before “Ima going to screenshot whatever you are doing every 10 minutes or so, processes it on your computer and store. Safely store? Lol no”
So no, it was my first operating system, but modern windows is a pile of hostile crap
