Fair point. I think only the AvP movies skip the capitalism commentary in favor of pure action-horror, and those are now non-canon.
I may be one of the only people on the planet that enjoys every single one of the Alien and Predator movies, though.

No, I also like pure action movies that don’t give a fuck if the plot makes sense or is even believable. At least the first two Alien movies do make it very subtle, with the main focus still being action and horror. It just they actually cared about the story and the capitalism is the glue that makes the “why are they so stupid?” stick.

AvP is no longer canon? It was the only Alien movie I’ve seen and I throughly enjoyed it when I saw it in theaters as a teen.
