Mexico’s official name is Los Estados Unidos Mexicanos. I don’t think that would work well.

Yeah but estadounidense is literally the spanish word for someone from the USA.

It would be Estadounidense Americano or Estadounidense Mexicano

No, it wouldn’t be. In Spanish North Americans are “estadounidenses” and Mexican are, “mexicanos”.
