Honest question:
Is it bad that I would prefer to call them either Human, a person or by their name?

IMO referring someone by their sexuality or their preferred gender is akin to calling someone by their skin color or ethnic origin. Eg. Referring to someone as "My friend" in comparison to calling them: "My Mexican friend" or "My Black friend" or "My LGBTQ+ friend".
