Matrix doesn’t have the host of bots that discord has though, so it’s going to be a long time before discord actually gets shitty enough to force people to nice.

Ehhh Linux was rough around the edges for me in 2019 however today it’s really smooth and I use it all the time now. The same thing will happen with Matrix, it just takes time to build the foundation. Open-source projects always start out basic.
