Zwiebel@feddit.org 1 week agoI just googled around a bit and there seem to be a lot of studies showing that the common medications don’t do much/ arent worth it. Maybe that’s why it wasn’t recommended? There seems to be a lack of research into what even causes the pain and how to prevent it

Then we need more studies starting 50 years ago at least. Regardless, placebo is a thing. We give pain meds all the time knowing they do next to nothing with minimal side effects, give the girls some oxy, or robaxin, or fentanyl. Those are the easiest drugs for me to ask a doctor to prescribe for pain, and having a 1 time dose in a doctor’s office will not make you an addict.
