I don’t get it when people say that their technical gadgets are “collecting dust”. My house is full of consoles, PCs, routers and musical equipment that are in-use that are constantly covered in dust due to the static charge from being turned on.

Because the apple headset was a hype item, not a real attempt at really anything. I used one in an hour long product demo in a store, and it was a cool proof of concept, but absolutely had zero substance.
I’m all for VR, but I am REALLY hard on things I like. And it had GAPING flaws.
The only way VR as it is now is going to break into mainstream is if it’s comfortable, convenient, useful, and freeing.
Meaning, there needs to be basically no hurdle to putting it on, robust and usable in many circumstances, ACTUALLY has purpose that replaces or comes to par with existing tech and actually solves real problems, and you can pirate and watch porn with it, with privacy at every step of the way.
New tech can’t be WORSE than current tech.
