Isn’t the day of $800 for any hours?
I feel like some would take the $30/h just to be in it for the main day.

I think I can talk about AEC work now that I’ve withdrawn. The offer I got was Sat night, 8pm start, minimum wage ($30.14), expected 3am finish (casual, maybe early dismissal) counting votes at an OPC (cold warehouse). I wouldn’t take that shift for any job TBH. Maybe I’m being too picky but that’s atrocious pay and hours for a one off ~7 hour job.

Some would, but not me. I’d be unreliable at that time of the day.
The $800 was advised to me by someone who was already doing previous Vic/Aus elections, he said $800 flat rate regardless of hours on election day.
But that also meant some would be 12hrs, others 3hrs, so the value for work is very ambiguous.
Every other day was around minimum wage.

Fuck all that. You’d think they could offer more considering what the job actually is.

They gave me a two month window then two days notice for sat night at shit pay. I’m in bed by 9pm most days, I’d be falling asleep on the job.
