Comment on The Director of ‘A Minecraft Movie’ Is OK with Chaos During Screenings: ‘People Are Making Memories’
CaptPretentious@lemmy.world 1 month agoI’m going to guess, in this context, you’re one of the kids that gave into the hype and made a mess and is now trying to validate your actions.

Sorry, I don’t believe you’ve avoided movies for 20 years because “they aren’t making good movies” but refer to that movie as a 10/10, non-corpo slop. Messa thinks you’re lying.
Inglourious Basterds, The Departed, No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Interstellar, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Grand Budapest Hotel, 12 Years a Slave, Django Unchained … fuck off with that excuse. And since you stopped on Star Wars, we can throw in several MCU movies (not all, but several). The cultural impact alone that Avengers: Endgame had by itself cannot be understated.
Beyond that, the sheer number of times you’ve defended these kids’ actions, this director’s comments… with “Who cares about it in this context?” like it’s a new phrase you’re really trying to get mileage out of… you’re way too invested.

You made a crucial error. Almost good, almost very good but you missed one essential detail: I didn’t say I watched 0 movies since rots. I just haven’t been to the cinema
Almost you made a sly response but whole thing is to be thrown into trash bin because you missed that detail

I am perfectly fine with ending cinematic career on a 10/10 masterpiece
