The final scene is them all on their phones. Schwarzenegger’s character works at the company, too.

Only for a few seconds though. The phones were in that sack for days, so they had to be powered off or their batteries would be dead. It takes longer than that to boot up and connect after being powered off. Right before the credits rolled you could see the older son’s reaction to something on the phone. My interpretation was that the news had just started rolling in and Dad was about to get a lot of awkward questions.
