Interesting how much the ancient mug looks like modern dog breeds. I would’ve expected them to look more wolfy.

The domestication of wolves happened between 15000 and 40000 years ago. That mug is “only” 1600 years old.

It’s largely because I’m not sure to what extent breeds existed in the ancient world but I suppose considering the time spans involved I shouldn’t be surprised.
