Comment on I was just existing, bro

I just told the truth. Personal time off, health and wellness, weight loss, surfing, travel, and yes vibing doing nothing.
It went over well. Most interviewers were more interested in that than my professional experience. Most people can’t do that and want to know what it’s like.
For my part, I don’t want to work for/with people who look down on that sort of thing.
Warning: my resume is extremely strong so I have a lot of leverage. YMMV

Hi, how strong does your resume have to be to be treated this way?
CADmonkey@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Not the person you’re responding to, but I myself have a decade of machine shop and fabrication experience, along with another five years of CAD/drafting. Those two things, together, on a resume is apparently important enough that testing positive for THC on a pre employment drug test is ignored.

Damn im a little jealous, have a fairly strong resume that may be enough to get past a thc positive test depending on the job and how desperate they are, but I don’t really want to risk potential prospects and for now stick with… conventional options for getting past when needed. I hope I get to the point where either I do my own thing or grow some balls and just not worry about it.
