I do prefer Alien to Aliens, but Aliens is an excellent film as well. They are close.
Over time I’ve started to enjoy T2 somewhat less and definitely began appreciating T1 more.
My biggest issue with T2 is that in retrospective it has more of a summer blockbuster feel to it. T1 also had a lot of actions, but none of the teen angst stuff.
