  Eh, shit like this is pretty common when the customer wants it done quickly and cheap. As that’s an office setting I can almost guarantee that’s what was asked

    Lol what, no? I’m an electrician who spent years doing commercial construction. We’d change the light, since clearly it’s too big. I guarantee that’s the fuckup and not the wall.

    That said, they’ll probably have to cut and patch the sheetrock to get the existing light out of there. They should’ve caught this as the wall was being built.
