Try being into board games. “Oh like Monopoly” NO NOT LIKE A 100 YEAR OLD GAME INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED NOT TO BE FUN AS A CRITICISM OF CAPITALISM. There have been new board games made in the last century and they’re actually fun.

  Ticket to Ride I think is a little better than Catan and just as (or more) newbie friendly.

  Personally, I’ve become a huge fan of Blokus and have been showing it to people every chance I get. Responses have been very positive.
  
  I might get a trigon version so it plays nicely with 3 people.

I’m already there 😅

Even worse, the Brazilian version, Banco Imobiliário, which is what “everyone played” here, was an even worse game than Monopoly.
