I genuinely wouldn’t know what to do with a thousand charged quartz. I can craft a bit and sell it, but the market will just crash immediately and me and the 100 other blokes will have made like what, a hundred gold or something per guy. Then what?

I just went to reddit to check. Apparently, the daily cap was not working on a specific hero point (searing cauldron).
If true, that’s a very obvious exploit. I hope they temp-ban the offenders and remove the ill-gotten gains from their accounts.

You can trade them for Provisioner Tokens at Rend Scorchmaul in the Wizard’s Tower who does not have a daily limit.

Ahhh, skip Provisioner Tokens. Well I can understand that motivation.

I hope they don’t re-break the Searing Cauldron Hero Challenge when they fix this. I need that for World Completion.

If necessary, you could use Proofs of Heroics from WvW. Just get all the other hero points first, then start consuming until you get the cauldron (might take a bit, since there’s some obscure HPs that are not part of world completion)

Isn’t the Searing Cauldron Hero Point exactly the one that was bugged, i. e. didn’t work at all? Which would mean their fix was bugged and introduced a possible exploit?
Spaghetti!

@necropola @bob_lemon @guildwars2 Yep. The bug that needed fixing was that the hero point would be permanently unclaimable if you had used it to charge a skyscale egg first.
