Oop. Did not realise wendigoon is a gateway to the alt-right pipeline 👀 here’s me just enjoying his enjoying his analog horror analyses.
Apparently, if YT thought I was a guy, it would start recommending me more alt-right videos, after watching wendigoon.
If I reccomended his channel, take it with an ocean of salt. 😬😬😬
It’s just YouTube. I saw someone share a profile just for their kid to watch videos and there was just a Jordan Peterson video in the recommended.
I see the same thing at work. My work account only has videos related to work and it’s trying to push conservative political shit on me
You’re comment is serendipitous! My partner told me about wendigoon last night, and today I’ve been picking up on other male YT channels that play horror games saying offhand shit about women. I can’t unsee it!
I just ranted to him about it, but I’d rather know than blindly support channels that promote or hold those views.
Thankfully, YT knows I’m “female” and hasn’t recc’d me any outright Jordan Peterson-esque, right-wing propaganda stuff. It’s just I like watching channels play horror games, and the vast majority are US men. It’s so easy for young boys and men to fall down that hole these days ugh!!
Funnily, since Cheetolini and President Musky got in, FB has been reccomendeding me Jordan Peterson shit. I hate that site, I only use it to post pictures of Mickey to his rescue orgs page as they like seeing their cats and dogs living their best life 😂
It sucks. I saw some clips of Asmongold and thought he’d be mildly entertaining to watch, and then it turns out he’s just a massive chud as well. You can watch a bunch of neutral or leftist content and Youtube won’t recommend anything similar, but watch something with even a hint of a rightwing crossover audience and it fills your feed with Daily Wire type shit.

I hate that gaming interests does that. It’s annoying and lame AF. I love video games, does not mean I’m interested in right wing shenanigans! One can be a leftie and still like video games 😭
And I’m not surprised regarding self-sufficiency and religious preppers; very US bible belt, end-of-times shite. Why does every innocent interest or hobby have to be taken over by fucking weirdos!? 😭😭😭
