Comment on It really is like this
surph_ninja@lemmy.world 1 day agoWikileaks is just publishing leaked US cables. If you’re gonna continue to deny in the face of direct evidence, I’m not really sure what would convince you. You probably just want to believe the lie.
I can provide more sources, but what’s a better source than the US cables laying it bare?

It’s funny how I can’t seem to find these so-called “leaked us cables” on Wikileaks at all and that article has no links.
It’s almost like it was created by some agency to misinform the public.

Just search ‘Wikileaks Tiananmen Square US cables’ and you’ll get a bunch of results directly to the cables. Here’s an article highlighting some: web.archive.org/…/Wikileaks-Tiananmen-cables.html

I actually tried searching Wikileaks itself in that exact date range. And nothing came up.

You can find the cables on a standard search engine. The Wikileaks site hasn’t been as reliable since Assange was released. Around that time, the was briefly inaccessible, and some of the material seemed harder to access when it did come back up. Presumably, he handed over some control of the site when he was released, and the powers that be played with it.
Do you have any source on your claims Wikileaks fabricated anything? They’ve never been shown to have done anything like that.
