  Hah. Reminds me. When I went down the shops the other day, cause the arseholes did that thing they do where they close half the shopping centre and force people to walk around the outside, I had to walk through a bit of a seedy area. Bunch of shopping trolleys full of rubbish and stuff, a few tipped over. Nangs everywhere. A few needles. A few shops and loading docks had what I’d guess were about 4-5 metre tall fences complete with razor wire over the top around their bins

  Also chose a bad way to walk back to the bus stop and ended up having to go past a group of 7-8 dodgy looking people who were 100% sizing me up

  I have mixed feelings about Brunswick

  I know this is going to be deeply unpopular, but I don’t really like Brunswick. I thought Brunswick west was alright when I was in an Airbnb there last year, but Brunswick proper I’ve walked through and down side streets a few times and can’t help but feel uneasy I also really don’t get the tagging on people’s fences type thing. I am okay with people doing murals and stuff, but why tag your name on some poor grandma’s front fence? And even the rest of it just feels kind of dirty. Kind of like what I imagine it was like hanging around an early 2000s Chicagoan train station at 9pm at night, but it’s the whole suburb. And based on my experience with coffee shops and the like in Brunswick proper, nobody seems to be very friendly unless you’re a local
