I just finished the series yesterday. Season one and two are weak as fuck and don’t feel like star trek at all. Its ok as a random explode-y sci-fi show though. Seasons 3-4 really did feel like star trek and I liked them quite a bit. One of the best parts of the show is all the main characters have a lot of growth through out the show and its done in great realistic way. The ending of season 4 was awesome and up there with some of the best trek episodes.

I love Tarantino but I would hate to see his star trek. His balls hard R star wars movie on the other hand would be the best film in the series.

Very good. I’d say its the best anime adaptation I’ve seen. It managed to translate all sorts of goofy ridiculousness without trying to make it look serious and without it being distracting or grown worthy. I haven’t watched the anime but I know Luffy is supposed to be kind of annoying in it, in this he was just a great happy character and relentless optimist that without being delusional… It was just a really fun show.
